Moshi Monsters : Preview

Moshi Monsters - Preview

Moshi Monsters, by MindCandy, is primarily for kids. I questioned posting about it here, but the game is pretty to look at and might be interesting to some. Also, MindCandy is known for engaging products. Game play is centered around your adopted monster. You care for your monster via puzzle games that award currency, feeding, customizing it’s room, and generally interacting with it. Monsters can also interact with each other, via adding your friends to a friends list.

Finally…

The semester is officially over for me, took my last final today. Now I’ll have some time to post content here again. However, starting around the middle of next week I’m going to be away from my computer for a little less than a month. I should still be able to post, just not very often.

SparkPlay Media’s Earth Eternal is an upcoming browser based mmorpg. Features include 16 character races, 4 character classes (with the ability to learn abilities from other classes), and a “grove” system which acts as a sort of camp/base for each character. Details are a little sparse at this point, but so far game play seems interesting.

Despite the fact that the game is supposed to be released sometime this summer, little is known about LEGO Universe. The premise seems to be some virtual world in which players can express creativity via legos.

Stone Age 2 : Upcoming

Stone Age 2 - Upcoming
+ Publisher
+ Official Site

Aeria Games has acquired the North American rights to Stone Age 2. The majority of game play seems centered around training and leveling a series of pets. The pet system is the defining feature of Stone Age 2, to the point that pets may send messages to your cellphone in the actual world. Other unique features include in-game ‘webcams” that show various portions of game stages in real time, allowing non-members to view game play. (This name makes me wonder, where is Stone Age 1?)
