Mass Post of Epic Justice : Preview
+ Akram Online
Rose Online’s gone free to play and become Akram Online. I haven’t actually played this version, but I’ve played 7Hearts and Rose Online Revolution before it went down. For those that are unfamiliar, the game is a sort of cartoon-fantasy. Pretty decent. The last Rose server that went free to play changed in a desperate effort to make money and was taken down a few months later. Is that what’s happening here? I don’t know.
+ Bounty Bay Online
Pirates.
+ Wizard 101
Browser-based adventure rpg set in a magic school, mainly targeting the younger crowd.
+ Legend of the Golden Plume
Adventure rpg with a large pet component. Not particularly advanced, but it is enjoyable for a little mindless gameplay. Also, it seems that this game might be portable, so in theory, you could slap it onto a CD or usb drive and play it anywhere.
+ Secondhand Lands
I’m almost positive I already posted this here, but I can’t seem to find the post. Regardless, this is a browser-based game in which you either play a sheep or a wolf.
+ Miniego
Browser based virtual community.
+ Travians
I could have swore I posted this one too. Browser based civilization-like game.
+ Myst Online : Uru
Myst online has gone free to play and open source.
+ Casual Collective
Social network based around a series of flash games.
+ Rock Solid Arcade
Flash arcade.
+ The Chronicles of Spellborn
Fantasy MMO that seems to be generating some buzz.

Mass Post of Epic Justice : Upcoming
+ NANAiMO
Shoot ‘em up from GameNGame, based around pets and collecting cards.
+ Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online
Shin Megami goodness from Aeria. I’m really hoping this is a great game.
+ Dungeon Party
Team based dungeon crawler.
+ Battleforge
I’m not so sure about this one. It’s a card-based game. It’s free, but it looks like you have to buy the cards…
+ Aurora Blade
Browser-based adventure rpg from IGG. Reminds me of Ragnarok.
+ Dreamland Online
Another upcoming game from IGG.

A quick update
Added a few new games in the “Mass Post of Epic Justice : Upcoming” post, StarGate Worlds and SubaGames’ games.
I apologize for the lack of content lately. My brother got married, I had summer finals, I started a new job. So things have been a little busy. Next week I’m going to be away from my computer and the week after that fall semester starts. So… we’ll see.
I still plan on a couple more mass posts of games that I haven’t covered here yet, but I just haven’t found the time.
*update : Free Realms added.

Mass Post of Epic Justice : Upcoming
+ zOMG!
Browser based fantasy mmo from the creators of Gaia Online. A true mmo, in this case. Not that weird social avatar based thing that Gaia Online is.
+ Childhood Online
The website isn’t up yet, but Childhood Online seems to be an rpg/adventure game with some platform elements. Information is really sketchy right now.
+ Secret Online
This game is from the same publisher as the previous. Secret Online seems to be a fantasy/historical rpg based around Chinese mythology.
+ Kiwi Heroes
Browser based game geared toward kids.
+ Twin Skies
Another browser based rpg.
+ Goon World
Game based in a world of organized crime.
+ S4 League
S4 League is a sports/shooter mmo.
+ FunFun
Another browser based game. This one focusing of minigames.
+ Q-World
Malaysian “cute” anime-style mmorpg.
+ Godswar Online
Greek based rpg, announced way back at the end of last year.
+ Project Powder
Racing/snowboard mmo.
+ LaTale
MapleStory-style rpg.
+ Operation 7
Army-style fps.
+ TalesRunner
Anime-style racer/adventure game.
+ ASDA Story
Anime-style rpg.
+ Sugar Rush
Comic-style fighting game.
+ Way of the Five
Monster collecting rpg based in a cartoony Chinese setting.
+ Hovorun
Racing game.
+ Stargate Worlds
Game based on the Stargate franchise.
+ AceOnline – NA
North American server for Ace Online from SubaGames. Supposedly, this should not cause IP blocks for other servers, as the owners of AceOnline (Yedang) have stated in the past that they do not plan on enforcing region restrictions.
+ Priston Tale I – NA
Does anyone even play this game anymore?
+ Priston Tale II – NA
My understanding was this game was originally pay-to-play, but it seems SubaGames will be rolling it out for free. I might be wrong.
+ Free Realms
A largely hyped game from Sony. The current drool worthy feature is the possibility of gameplay focusing on mechanics other than combat.

In the Interest of Keeping Content Current
I’m going to throw out a few mass posts in the next few weeks instead of trying to keep up with new games one post at a time.

Blackshot : Upcoming
Blackshot is an upcoming army-based mmofps from Outspark. Personally, up to this point Outspark’s games haven’t impressed me. But I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Atlantica : Preview
Atlantica just ended it’s closed beta. Most of game play involves your characters running around killing X number of monsters for some quest. While it sounds boring the combat aspect is very interesting. You can recruit a handful of various characters through out the game and use them to create a party of 9 individuals which you use to fight turn based battles. If anyone on the battle field is hit 3 times in a row they become stunned and can’t attack for a few turns, which adds an additional strategy element. I’m a little on the fence about the equipment aspect of the game. Equipment is mostly acquired through monster drops and in order to upgrade your equipment you need 2 items that are the same and an upgrade item which is fairly easy to acquire. This can get a bit tedious once your equipment becomes +3 or +4 and your inventory is bursting with generic equips just so you can gain a level. Overall I found the game entertaining and well worth my time.

Social Networking + F2P
I’ve noticed a few social networks cropping up centered around the free to play mmo culture. I decided to give a mention to the major contenders.
+ OnRPG
The original. Pretty much all you need.
+ Game Gravity
Newly opened. Reminds me a little too much of MySpace.
+ Curse
Seems interesting. Offers a few useful features and up to date news.
